The Dixie Dance Show is one of the most unique dance groups in the country. In contrast to others, it was exclusively formed from top foreign dancers and enthusiasts who now are a vital part of musical and dance spectacles with “The Belgrade Dixieland Orchestra.”

The group was founded in Belgrade in 2003 under the auspices of the dance club Gracia. Since 2005 The Dixie Dance Show has acted as an independent dance group with the mission of presenting an old, almost forgotten, 20th century dance forms to the general public.

The group’s concepts are strongly influenced by the Orchestra’s repertoire, including spectacles such as “So Jazz Came To Be”, “Musical & Cabaret”, and “Charleston Era”. Already in a few years it has become the most attractive performance of this type not only in the country, but in the entire Balkans as well!

Leader of the group and dance choreographer Irena Žujović has in a very short time already created an original and varied dance group; her characteristic choreography is inspired by early films and musical numbers. Trainer Ivana Milovanović enlarges upon this art-driven dance choreography by giving dancers additional physical training and support.
